Cycling from Alaska to Argentina Travelogue - The build up to the trip

I took the bike and 90% fully loaded trailer out early this morning. This will be my last run out with it before I leave now, and I wanted to see how I would cope with the weight. Its going to be hard work, there's no denying that!! As i cycled aroundĀ  the reservoir, I think i saw one of my Dads uncles riding around... but as I was going downhill along a gravel track, wiping sweat out of my eyes, I couldn't be sure.

When I got back, I looked through my flight and baggage options.I had to reserve a place for my bicycle on the Condor airways flight, which I did. I also paid for an additional piece of baggae on my British Airways flight. This now means that i will have four peces of luggage in totalĀ  - Hand luggage, bicycle, my trailer (boxed), and my bag with all the gear in it. This is the easier way of doing it, and means i have no more problems with the weight. All i need to do tomorrow, is to break my trailer down and make it fit into a box which complies with British Airways policy, and to pack the bike away.
