Cycling from Alaska to Argentina Travelogue - August 2009 Travelogue

Cycling over rolling hills leading ever upwards and into a headwind was always going to be crap. Multiply that by 60 kms, and you start to get an idea of just how crap. All in all, not particularly pleasant, and I'm glad that little section is over with. I set up camp at Lake Squanga for my second consecutive day of zero spending, and as I was tucking into some noodles, and Italian couple arrived who were coming from the opposite direction. They too said they had been cycling into a headwind.... How does that work then ??
