Cycling from Alaska to Argentina Travelogue - October 2009 Travelogue
Another exit from a city without any maps, although thankfully, Highway One is now a highway again rather than an Interstate, which made life easier. I stopped off in Carmel to restock and briefly use the internet, and then got going proper at about 11.00. Just a short day of 30 miles, with awesome scenery and some challenging hills. It was a another bright and sunny one also, which made me feel like I had really earned my bottle of wine that day!

Travel Quotes
“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.”
