Cycling from Alaska to Argentina Travelogue - October 2009 Travelogue
I started the day as a good Samaritan, by giving some transient type fella who had turned up at the campground overnight my spare tyre, as his had burst. I’ve been carrying it around since the beginning of the trip, and not taken the best care of it, but it should see him good, and I was going to buy another anyway. A relatively short days cycling to the town of Guadalupe, which looked and felt as Mexican as the name suggests. In a strange coincidence, I met Anne, my Warmshowers host at the local shops, and after introductions, she gave me the key, and directions to her house.

Another great person who it would have been a pleasure to spend more time with, Anne was actually moving out of her house the next day, and yet still found time to make me feel most welcome. With my cyclists priorities of shower, laundry and food catered for, Anne drove me down to the beach so that I could see the sunset from the dunes, and even supplied a beer! (I seem to be drinking all the time in these diaries, but I swear, I am a super fit cycling machine!)

A lovely evening meal, followed by some freshly made cookies rounded the day off. Anne - You’re a star !!

Note - Thank you VERY much to Nan and Pap, and Sue and Robert for your kind donations J
