Equipment for Alaska to Argentina Cycling Trip - Equipment

 Vaude Hogan Tent

From the first time I started travelling, I have used Vaude tents. they are easy to put up, reasonably light and hardwearing. I've bought a new tent for this trip, the Vaude Hogan, and although I haven't field tested it yet, I expect that it will perform as well as my previous two tents.

Note - 12/12/09 -- I thought I had updated this earlier, but I obviously had forgotten too. From the first day i was not impressed with the tent. It seemed that Vaude had chosen inferior materials to meet a price bracket. The integral groundsheet was only half the thickness of my previous two tents, and the poles were much more fragile. I suffered 3 pole breaks - two of which I could repair, and one of which was irreparable. After that, the tent was useless, and I had to dispose of it.

I WILL NOT BE BUYING A VAUDE TENT AGAIN!!!!
