Dave briggs

My name is Dave Briggs, and welcome to www.davestravelpages.com , my travelogue site. I am an Adventure Cyclist from England, and my latest trip is to cycle from Alaska to Argentina. I started in July 2009, and estimate that it will take 18 months, so please drop by again to check on my progress !

To read my current travelogue, use this link Alaska to Argentina., or simply have a look around the site to see my previous adventures, thoughts and views. The site is bigger than you might think, so put the kettle on, relax, and enjoy !

F.A.Q.

  • Why are you doing this ??
Good question and well asked. Answer ---- Why does the sun shine?  - It just does. Why is water wet? - It just is.
  • What are you goals ??
This particular trip is to cycle as much of the route from Alaska to Argentina as possible. As a side note, I'd like to develop my websites more along the way, so as to give myself some income in order to either extend this trip or fund the next one.
  • How do you afford it ??
I don't drink (much), I don't smoke, and I don't have a car. Sit back and add up what all those things cost you a month, and thats what I am saving. Of course, a diet of pasta, bread, and baked beans also helps me to save (not all in the same meal, you understand). My wages are very small (basically minimum wage), so every penny counts that I can save. I hope that I will be able to have approx 4000 pounds to spend on this trip, and that the dollar collapses in value to help me out further !! Also, I will be camping virtually everywhere, and generally being a skinflint in order to see the trip through.
  • So, why are you doing it again ???
Hmmmmmmm.
  • Are you mad ??
Quite possibly.
