                                                                            Malaria

Whilst I may or may not need Malaria tablets through Turkey, I will definately need them through Africa, as up to one million people die each year on the continent due to Malaria, and I don't want to be one of them. When I visit the travel clinic in May 2006, (a couple of months before my departure), I'll find out which course I'll be on, and if i should buy them first in England or from another country.

                                                                              Water

Bottled and safe water will be available to drink through all of Europe and much of the Middle East, but through Africa, access to clean drinking water may become limited at times. If I have enough cash, I'll invest in a water filter of some description.

                                                                            Dentistry

I'll go to the dentist a month before I leave for a final check up on my teeth. May or may not take a travel dental kit.

                                                                            Medical Kit

As well as a basic first aid/medical kit, I will probably also take a sterile set of needles for use in an emergancy if I run into problems out in the wilds!!
