If you have been following Daves Travel Pages recently, you may already know that I am preparing for TBEX in Dublin, which is a travel bloggers conference being held in October 2013. The purpose of the conference is to bring travel bloggers and travel industry representatives together in order to foster better relations, create partnerships and develop contact networks. On a personal level, I am hoping to get all that from TBEX, but also have some fun, as this is my only annual holiday from work this year!
The actual TBEX conference lasts for two days on the 3rd and 4th of October, but I decided to spend a week in Dublin in total, with a few extra days either side of it. This would give me time to settle in, perhaps go on a few trips or tours and also enjoy myself! Once I had decided on which dates I had available, the next stage was to book my flights. After scanning around, it was inevitably Ryanair that came out the cheapest. I have something of a love/hate relationship with Ryanair, in that they seem to be always the cheapest when it comes to flights, but they also have the worst service and facilities in the world. You get what you pay for i suppose, and return flights from Birmingham (my closest airport) came to a total of £39.98. That's twenty pounds each way, and lets face it, it's pretty damned cheap!
