The X-Mini Speaker

It's not often that you spot a piece of gear that you would never travel without, but when you do, its a great feeling! When I first heard about the X-Mini Speaker, my initial reaction was “Why do I want to travel with even more weight?”. However, after buying one, I would never leave do a trip without it again!

What won me over was the sound quality. For such a small speaker, I simply wasn't expecting it, and the X-Mini Speaker punches well above its weight. I have heard docking stations which cost ten times as much with poorer sound than this little beauty provides!

Talking about its weight, there isn't that much after all I found out. The X-Mini Speaker weighs in at just 454 grams and when it is compressed, fits easily in a pocket. Oh, that's another thing, it compresses. It will play either open or closed, but the bass sound is so much richer when open, and especially so when on a good wooden surface.

The battery life on the X-Mini Speaker lasts for over 8 hours on continuous play, and far longer than that when left untouched. Recharging it is a simple matter of plugging it into a USB socket. Using a standar headphone socket, you can use it with almost any netbook, tablet, pc or phone.

The X-Mini Speaker is a great addition to any travellers gear, and sounds great whether you are listening to music or watching a film. In a hotel room, campsite or even by the side of the road, you can finally listen to your favourite songs with good sound quality whilst travelling.
