A 60km day of cycling, but quite challenging due to the headwinds and rolling hills. Headwinds are a cyclists worst enemy!
Cycling from Marsh Lake to Squanga Lake
A slight wind picked up as I left Marsh Lake, and it was blowing the wrong way. Cycling over rolling hills leading ever upwards and into a headwind was always going to be crap. Multiply that by 60 kms, and you start to get an idea of just how crap. All in all, not particularly pleasant, and I'm glad that little section is over with.
I set up camp at Lake Squanga for my second consecutive day of zero spending, and as I was tucking into some noodles, and Italian couple arrived who were coming from the opposite direction. They too said they had been cycling into a headwind…. How does that work then ??
