The iClever 6 port USB travel Wall Charger is a brilliant way to reduce the amount of USB chargers that you need to take with you when you travel.

Better still, it only takes up one wall plug socket.

So, if you are in an airport and spot a wall socket and need to charge your gear up, this works great. If your hotel room doesn't have many free sockets it works too.

Basically, as long as you have one available wall socket, you can keep all your essential travel gear charging from one place.

This is ideal for digital nomads, backpackers, and bicycle tourers, who need to charge cameras, smartphones, gps devices and tablets all at the same time.

I've got the UK version, which means it comes with a UK plug. I assume that people purchasing from other countries will have power leads suitable for them.

This leads me to one question – Why not put a socket adapter in the pack, or make it part of the design? It is a travel USB wall charger after all.

Don't get me wrong though, it does not detract from what is a well designed and manufactured travel device.

Check this video out, where I explain about the 6 port USB charger in more detail.

What did I think to this USB Wall charger?

What's left to say then? It is a deceptively simple USB hub that has some built in tech which detects the power requirements of attached devices.

Its output of 50W through 6 ports, means that it works to charge all attached electronic gear up as fast as possible.

It is well built, and weighs in at just 180g. It is certainly being added to my list of essential travel gear I use as a digital nomad!

This is going to be so handy speed-charging all my electronic gear up whenever I find a power outlet on the road!

I can charge my Tecknet Iep1500 Power Bank over night, and have enough power for my devices for a few days on the road. My score is a 9.5/10, and it would have made a 10 with the power socket adapter included. Great stuff!
