Athens to Corfu Bus

There’s two options for taking a bus from Athens to Corfu. Neither of which are made easy by either KTEL bus company and their websites.

The first option is to use Green Buses, which is the Corfu KTEL company. This bus should take you from Kifissos central bus station directly to Igoumentisa ferry port, where you will have time to buy a ferry ticket. Theoretically, this same bus should then drive you off the ferry and into the Corfu bus depot. Note this company may only provide 3 buses a week.

The second option is to use KTEL Thesprotias, who provide more regular buses between Athens and Igoumenitsa. Once in Igoumenitsa, you’d again need to buy a ferry ticket for Corfu, and then take the ferry. On arrival in Corfu, you’d need to organize getting from the ferry port to wherever you need to go yourself.

The only ferries going directly to Corfu from the Greek mainland leave from Igoumenitsa Port.

If you're looking to reserve ferry tickets in Greece, I strongly advise using Ferryhopper. It's important to note that ferry schedules are usually released just 2-3 months prior. So, if you're planning a vacation for a year from now, keep in mind that schedules might not be accessible yet!
