How to get from Syros to Antiparos

Not all the islands in the Cyclades of Greece are connected by direct ferry, and this is the case with Syros and Antiparos. The solution is easy when it comes to the Syros Antiparos route though, as you just need to go via Paros first.

Basically, you will need to get one ferry from Syros to Paros where you will disembark. You will then take another ferry from Paros to Antiparos.

The first leg of the journey is quite quick and painless. There are at least two ferries a day to Paros islands from Syros, and the journey takes around one and a half hours. You can find tickets here on Ferryhopper.

There is a slight complication in the Paros to Antiparos part of the journey though. This is because Paros has two ferry ports from where you can take a boat to Antiparos. These are Parikia and Pounda ports.

Antiparos Island Travel Tips

A few travel tips for visiting Antiparos:

  • For rooms to rent in Antiparos, take a look at Booking. They have a great range of accommodation in Antiparos and areas to consider staying include Antiparos town, and Agios Georgios. If you are traveling to Antiparos in the height of the tourist season, I advise reserving apartments in Antiparos a month or so in advance.

  • One of the best places to look at ferry schedules and to book tickets online is at Ferryhopper. I think it's better that you book your Syros to Antiparos ferry tickets in advance, especially during the the months of July, August, and September.
