This travel blog post covers the day's cycling from Puno to Juli in Peru. Part of my bicycle touring adventure from Alaska to Argentina.
Cycling out of Puno, Peru
Travel blog post written September 24th 2010
Heidi left before me in the morning, to catch a bus directly to Copacabana in Bolivia. For me, that would be two days cycling though, and so it was back on the bike.
Leaving Puno was nice and easy, and the road not too challenging apart from when the wind picked up later in the day.
It was all fairly easy though, and I reached the town of Juli in good time.
There were a couple of lodging options on the main plaza, and I went for Hostal Los Angeles, which provided a room for 15 soles with shared bathroom – Great hot water![mailmunch-form id=”728831″]
