This page acts as a central hub for all my bike touring blogs, tips, gear reviews & guides written during the last 20 years of various cycling adventures around the world.
Hi I’m Dave, and I started bike touring sometime around 2000. Since 2006, I’ve been writing bicycle touring blogs, guides and tips on this blog.
Over that time, it’s fair to say that some of my bikepacking guides have become harder to find. So, this page acts as a signpost to most of the important ones.
I’ve tried to section this page in a somewhat logical order. It starts with my day by day blog posts for my two longest bicycle tours. After that I’ve put my bike touring kit lists, guides and gear reviews into their own sections. Finally, at the end, are those bicycle touring posts that could be categorized as frequently asked questions.
Whether you’re just starting your bike touring adventures, or are a seasoned bikepacker, I hope you’ll enjoy reading what you find!
