Cycling from Ciudad Neily to David in Panama

Today's cycling in Central America included cycling across the border between Costa Rica and Panama. Here's my bike touring blog from the day.

Cycling into Panama

Blog post written: April 15th, 2010

A brief, 14 km ride to the border with Panama, which I reached by 08.00.

Getting stamped out of Costa Rica, and then into Panama was a piece of cake, and I was in yet another country, just like that!! These Central American countries are certainly a lot quicker to get through than Mexico !

The road in towards the city of David wasn't particularly challenging, which is how I like it some days.

I found The Purple House hostel pretty easily, and booked into a dorm for an initial two nights. The Purple House, is, well, purple. Very purple indeed !

I may need to buy some colour coordinated clothes if I stay too long.

A little bit of purple.

And more purple.

Lunch was McDonald's (get in there!), and I stocked up at the supermarket, which I have to say, is the best one that I have seen in months.

Tuna is more reasonably priced, and who thought that corned beef would put such a big smile on my face ?
