Cycling from Acapulco to San Marcos in Mexico – Bicycle Touring Blog

The food in Mexico has been mostly hit, although today’s serving of a chicken leg in spicy dishwater was more miss. That said, it did make a pleasant change to get my protein via chicken rather than tuna. (Although I had tuna sandwiches for dinner).

San Marcos, Mexico

I stopped in the town of San Marcos, and after choosing not to stay in a hotel that charges 150 pesos for three hours (and there’s a lot of hotels like that in Mexico), I found a lovely one on the main road for 120 pesos.

A big room, with a large mirror, in which I could admire my bizarre and unique cyclists tan. My hands where I wear my gloves are pure white, whilst my arms, up to my biceps are deep brown.

Then, it’s a white body, with brown calves down to the sock line, and white feet. Where I wear my hat is most interesting, as I have a two tone head. Ace.
