Tinos is a beautiful island located in the Cyclades group of islands in Greece. The island is known for its stunning beaches, clear turquoise waters, and charming villages. Some of the most popular villages on Tinos include Pyrgos, and Volax. Tinos is also home to the famous Panagia Evangelistria monastery, which is one of the most important religious sites in Greece.

Visiting Tinos after Andros is a good choice for anyone island hopping in this part of the Cyclades islands of Greece. As there's no airport on the Cyclades island of Tinos, the only way to get from Andros to Tinos is by taking a ferry.

The Andros to Tinos ferry route is well serviced, and also quite a cheap route. Most ferries cost 14.00 Euro, but the Blue Star Artemis which sails once a week is even cheaper at 7.50 Euro for passenger fares. The best ferry for anyone traveling on a budget!

During the the busiest months of summer, you might expect up to 4 or 5 ferries per day from Andros to Tinos. These ferries to the Greek island of Tinos from Andros are operated by Fast Ferries, Blue Star Ferries, Sea Jets and Golden Star Ferries.

The travel times for all these crossings are similar during the high season, taking around 1 hour and 30 minutes between the two Greek islands.

  • Ferry services depart from Gavrio port in Andros. Passengers should try to be there at least a half hour at ports on the islands before departure.

  • Ferries arrive at the island's port in Tinos Town in Tinos. This is a good location to stay for short visits.

  • Areas to consider staying in Tinos include Agios Ioannis Porto, Agios Romanos, Chora (Tinos town), Kionia, Pyrgos, and Agios Sostis.
